2 Hospitalized in San Bernardino Pedestrian Accident on Citrus Avenue at Church Street

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 16, 2021) – On Wednesday, two students sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash on Citrus Avenue at Church Street.

According to city spokesman Carl Baker, the incident happened at around 7:30 a.m.

Moreover, it occurred on Citrus Avenue at Church Street.

Reports revealed that a Toyota pickup attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound Citrus Avenue. However, it struck two female Redlands High students crossing the road in a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responders transported one of the victims to a hospital. Meanwhile, a parent in a private vehicle rushed the second patient to a hospital.

Authorities described the injuries of the victims as moderate.

Furthermore, the driver claimed that he did not see the victims through the fog on his windshield and the glare of the sun.

Meanwhile, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
