2 Hurt in Snelling Motorcycle Accident on Merced Falls

 
SNELLING, CA (June 4, 2020) – Sunday afternoon, two riders sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash on Merced Falls Road.
 
At around 4:25 p.m., the officers came to a crash involving two motorcycles on Merced Falls Road, east of La Grange Road.
 
Officer Michael Flores revealed that a group of about five motorcycles traveled west on Merced Falls Road. However, turkeys began crossing the road in front of the lead motorcycle.
 
Then, the 66-year-old male rider from Stockton quickly hit his brake.
 
Afterward, a 70-year-old Hayward man, riding behind the lead motorcycle, failed to stop in time. His vehicle crashed with the rear of the lead motorcycle. As a result, both riders were thrown off from their bike.
 
Furthermore, both of the riders fell unconscious. Responders airlifted the 70-year-old man to an area hospital with major injuries. Meanwhile, the 66-year-old man sustained minor injuries didn’t require hospitalization.
 
The CHP confirmed that no other riders were involved in the injury crash.
