Injuries Reported in Tempe Multi-Vehicle Accident on Priest Drive and Loop 202
TEMPE, AZ (July 20, 2021) – Early Saturday morning, two people suffered injuries in a wrong-way crash on Priest Drive.
The incident involving three vehicles happened at about 2:30 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Priest Drive and Loop 202 westbound on-ramp.
According to the investigators, a black Toyota Tundra drove the wrong way on Priest Drive. Then, it drove across a red light to enter the freeway. As it crossed, the truck struck two other vehicles.
Responders transported the truck driver and passenger to the hospital with serious injuries. The drivers of the other vehicles sustained minor injuries but didn’t require hospitalization.
Also, the authorities suspect that alcohol played a role in the crash.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
