Man and Woman Hospitalized Following Rollover Crash in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, CA (December 26, 2018) — Two people were injured Monday night after being involved in a two-vehicle rollover crash on 15 Freeway near Victorville.

Officials said reports about the crash came in at about 6:53 p.m. Monday, citing the area of southbound 15 Freeway between Roy Rogers Drive and Palmdale Road.

When emergency responders reached the scene of the crash, they found two vehicles with major damage on the right shoulder. One of the vehicles involved was a pickup truck and the other was a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero. It was reported that both vehicles rolled over during the crash, with the pickup truck coming to rest on its side.

A man who was ejected from the pickup truck was transported to a hospital and then airlifted to a trauma center with unspecified injuries. A woman inside the pickup truck had to be extricated from the mangled vehicle and then was flown to an out-of-area trauma center in serious condition.

Due to the crash, the Palmdale Road off-ramp was temporarily closed. All lanes reopened after the crash site was cleared and processed.

The incident remains under investigation
