2 People Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 1 near Tides Wharf [Sonoma County, CA]

2 Hospitalized in Sonoma County Traffic Accident on Highway 1 near Tides Wharf

 
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (April 25, 2021) – Friday night, two people sustained injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 1 near Tides Wharf.
 
According to Assistant Fire Chief and Public Information Officer Steve Herzberg, the incident happened at around 9:10 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 1 by the Tides Wharf in Bodega Bay.
 
Also, reports revealed that a vehicle fell on a 30 feet embankment after the two-vehicle collision.
 
Then, responders from the Bodega Fire Protection District transported a driver and a passenger to a hospital with unknown injuries. Moreover, the two managed to get out of their vehicle and make their way to a hospital. As they reached the hospital, it’s where responders met them, Herzberg added.
 
Furthermore, the truck that struck the first vehicle came into rest across the Highway where it waits to be towed.
 
Meanwhile, officers said that the crash closed the highway for 30 to 40 minutes during the cleanup.
 
The incident is under active investigation.
