Driver Collides Into CHP Officer Vehicle in Shasta and North Market Street Crash

 
Redding, CA (October 2, 2020) – A driver and a CHP officer was injured in a crash on Shasta and North Market Street on Wednesday.
 
The incident took place on September 30 around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Shasta and North Market Street.
 
According to a report, the driver ran a red light before it crashes into the California Highway Patrol Officer’s car.
 
Due to the impact of the crash, both the driver and the police officer sustained minor injuries.
 
CHP said that the police K-9 was not in the car when the incident happened.
 
Furthermore, the extent of the crash prompted a traffic backup on westbound Highway 44. Further details are not available as of the moment.
