Man, Woman Hurt in Solo-Car Fiery Crash on Pioneer Street in Ridgefield
RIDGEFIELD, WA (June 13, 2019) – Two people sustained serious injuries early Monday following a fiery solo-car accident on Pioneer Street near North 35th Avenue.
According to Ridgefield Police Chief John Brooks, emergency officials arrived in the 3600 block of Pioneer Street. Around 3 a.m., a four-door Jeep occupied by a man and a woman struck a tree and caught on fire.
The pair sustained serious injuries, including the man who suffered critical burns.
It’s still unclear as to why the car crashed into the tree in the first place but the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit plans to investigate further.
