Military Transport Truck Overturns in Menifee Accident on Interstate 215 and McCall Boulevard

 
MENIFEE, CA (September 9, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, two people suffered injuries in a crash on Interstate 215 and McCall Boulevard.
 
The incident occurred at around 12:40 p.m. on southbound Interstate 215, south of McCall Boulevard.
 
One of the vehicles of the U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton convoy hauled a trailer. Then, it went out of control over the side of Interstate 215.
 
According to reports, the military transport truck rolled over and went down an embankment. Then, it fell into the parking lot of Sun City Hardware and injured at least two personnel.
 
Reports confirmed that the crash caused a fuel spill. This, a hazardous materials team responded to clean-up.
 
When the paramedics arrived, they confirmed that two victims sustained moderate injuries. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed their identities. Responders took them to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar in stable condition.
 
Also, the CHP closed the slow lane of southbound I-215 for public safety. By 1:00 p.m., the authorities issued a Sigalert which affected the traffic.
 
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
