Two People Hospitalized After Crash on Business US 54 in Miller County
Miller County, Mo (April 17, 2025) – A hydroplane crash on Business US 54 injured two people Thursday morning in Miller County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 7 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Business US 54, about 150 feet west of Katelyn Drive.
A 29-year-old woman from Eldon was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt westbound when her car began to hydroplane.
The vehicle veered off the right side of the road, then returned and crossed the center line.
A 54-year-old Eldon woman, driving a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica, struck the Chevrolet. After the collision, the Chrysler veered off the right side of the road.
The Chevrolet crossed the center line again, and a 20-year-old man from Ashland, driving a 1993 Oldsmobile 98, rear-ended the vehicle.
Emergency crews transported the 29-year-old driver to a Jefferson City hospital with minor injuries.
The 54-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and also received treatment at a hospital in Jefferson City.
