2 Teens Injured in Chain-Reaction Collision in South Seattle

Seattle, WA (October 15, 2020) – On Wednesday, 2 teenagers were injured in a DUI crash on Interstate 5, and a motorist was arrested for sending a car off the interstate.

The Washington State Patrol says around 6 p.m a van abruptly hits its break as it travels south near Airport Way.

Consequently, a motorist in an Infiniti while managing to avoid the van by swerving, hit a Dodge Charger instead.

Subsequently, the impact sent the Charger off the freeway, then after rolling over and ending up on its roof on Airport Way below.

Moreover, rescuers found 3 teenagers inside the Charger. Paramedics took 2 to Harborview Medical Center (a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man). Meanwhile, another 18-year-old did not suffer any injuries.

Furthermore, the WSP is still investigating the incident. Additionally, one of the drivers is arrested for investigation of driving while impaired with drugs. Although, no other details are available at the moment.

Protecting Yourself Against Injury Crashes

Each year, approximately 20-50 million people suffer injuries or disabilities due to a vehicle crash. Unfortunately, not everyone has proper information about the things you should do next after an injury crash.

The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Moreover, personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery while securing your future from further losses a severe accident can bring.

“A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers, an attorney practicing for over 40 years.
