2 Hurt in Castro Valley Multi-Vehicle Accident on 238 Freeway near Redwood Road

 
CASTRO VALLEY, CA (October 30, 2020) – Thursday morning, two people suffered injuries in a crash on 238 Freeway near Redwood Road.
 
According to reports, the incident occurred at about 8:23 a.m.
 
Meanwhile, CHP spokesman Officer Gabe Walters stated that both of the two weren’t injured critically. However, the fire personnel had to use hydraulic tools to free one person.
 
Walters added that the incident involved a white sedan, a semi-truck, and a white SUV. Initially, the CHP reported that the crash was between two vehicles on eastbound 580 Freeway.
 
However, the investigation revealed that the crash took place on southbound 238 Freeway near Redwood Road exit. The incident occurred just past the 580 Freeway interchange, Walters added.
 
The force of the crash caused the SUV to rollover. Thus, responders transported the two occupants to the hospital.
 
Moreover, the CHP administered a SigAlert after the collision due to the closure of far two left lanes.
