2 People Injured, 1 Arrested in DUI Crash on Surfside Drive [Port Hueneme, CA]

2 Hospitalized and Woman in Custody after Port Hueneme Auto Accident on Surfside Drive

 
PORT HUENEME, CA (June 14, 2021) – Saturday night, two people sustained injuries in a suspected DUI crash on Surfside Drive.
 
According to the authorities, the incident happened at around 6:00 p.m. Moreover, it occurred in the 500 block of Surfside Drive near Port Hueneme Beach.
 
Reports revealed that a black Toyota Prius crashed into a parked van on the curb line of Surfside Drive. Officers said that the Prius was parked 100 yards from the scene of the incident.
 
Furthermore, EMS crews treated two people inside the van at the scene. Paramedics transported the 52-year-old grandfather and a 6-year-old boy to a hospital for further treatment.
 
Moreover, officials confirmed that the 27-year-old Thousand Oaks woman driving the Prius was taken to a hospital for treatment. Then, they arrested her on suspicion of DUI. Also, records showed that the suspect drove on a suspended driver’s license and that she had prior DUI convictions. The suspect was on DMV probation for DUI at the time of the crash.
 
The incident is under investigation.
