2 People Hospitalized after Fiery Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 and Vineyard Drive [Templeton, CA]

2 Injured in Templeton Auto Accident on Highway 101

 
TEMPLETON, CA (July 18, 2020) – Thursday night, two people sustained injuries in a fiery vehicle crash on Highway 101.
 
The incident occurred just after 8:30 p.m. off the southbound lanes of Highway 101 and Vineyard Drive offramp.
 
Reports revealed that the California Highway Patrol and San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies responded. When they arrived, they found out that a vehicle struck a freeway guardrail. Then, it overturned, landed on its side, and rolled into a nearby field while burning.
 
Several vehicles stopped on the freeway to help with the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the CHP revealed that they shut down all southbound lanes of Highway 101 at about 8:36 p.m. An hour later, the authorities reopened the number one lane.
 
Due to the fiery crash, the vehicle had serious damage. The authorities also confirmed that the crash led to major injuries.
 
Moreover, responders transported two patients to the hospital for treatment.
