2 Injured in Bakersfield Auto Accident on Santa Fe Way

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 22, 2020) – Sunday morning, two people suffered injuries in a crash on Santa Fe Way and Renfro Road.

The CHP revealed that the incident happened just before 11:57 a.m. on Santa Fe Way and Renfro Road.

According to reports, a Ford F-150 pickup truck drove north on Santa Fe Way. At the same time, a Ford Escape headed west.

Meanwhile, the Escape drove across the opposite lane and crashed with the truck head-on. The impact caused the Ford Escape to overturn in the street.

Furthermore, responders transported two people to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries. On the other hand, the CHP revealed that they found no sign of alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash.

The CHP hasn’t issued any citation as of this time. Also, the intersection was shut down for around 45 minutes and has now reopened.

Staying within the lanes of the road is an extremely important rule of the road. Moreover, if you feel yourself drifting into other lanes due to fatigue or any other reason, safely pull over and rest before continuing to drive. Also, you can call a friend or an Uber to pick you up if you feel like it would be unsafe to drive.
