2 Killed and 1 Detained after Las Vegas Accident on North Lamb Boulevard and East Cecile Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 25, 2021) – Friday morning, two people died while Avery Nellems was detained in a DUI crash on North Lamb Boulevard.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jesse Roybal, the two-vehicle accident occurred at 5:54 a.m. Moreover, it happened on North Lamb Boulevard and East Cecile Avenue, near Cheyenne Avenue.
Meanwhile, the investigators confirmed that 23-year-old Avery Nellems drove a 2015 Nissan Rogue. As he went north on Lamb Boulevard, he drove across the center line and crashed head-on with a 2015 Nissan Versa.
The Nissan Versa’s driver and passenger both succumbed to injuries at the scene.
On the other hand, responders took Avery Nellems to University Medical Center with minor injuries. Then, they booked Nellems into the Clark County Detention Center with two counts of DUI resulting in death.
This incident is the 36th and 37th traffic fatalities this year.
