2 Seriously Injured in Reno Car Crash on Highway 50, Suspect Detained
RENO, NV (June 11, 2020) – Monday evening, two people suffered serious injuries in an auto accident on Highway 50 near Zephyr Cove. Police later arrested Matthew James Klausen in connection to the crime.
The Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District responded to the head-on crash.
According to fire officials, the crash occurred on Highway 50 at Skyland. Then, Careflight transported two people to Renown Hospital with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the Nevada Highway Patrol revealed that they reopened one lane in each direction on Highway 50. However, they advised motorists to use alternate routes.
Moreover, the authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
