LOS ANGELES, CA (October 23, 2020) – Wednesday night, two officers and a civilian suffered injuries in a traffic accident on Vernon Avenue.
 
The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m., said officer Jader Chaves of the Los Angeles Police Department. According to reports, the crash took place near Vernon Avenue and Central Avenue.
 
Responders transported both the LAPD officers and the civilian to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, firefighters also came to the scene since one of the officers was pinned in the patrol vehicle. Thus, they extricated the person.
 
Due to the crash, the police vehicle sustained severe damages and one of its doors was removed.
 
Furthermore, the authorities confirmed that the civilian was from a silver Mazda.
