2 Minors Die, 5 Hospitalized in Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 93 [Wickenburg, AZ]

2 Children Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on US 93 at milepost 175

Wickenburg, AZ (October 05, 2020) – On Saturday, 2 children died in a multi-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes on the US-93 at milepost 175.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at about 5:19 a.m. as the children are traveling with their family in a van.

Meanwhile, a pickup truck coming from the southbound lanes crossed over into the northbound lanes of US-93 and hit the axle of a semi-trailer in tow by a commercial truck-tractor.

Additionally, the pickup collided with the van carrying a family of 7.

Unfortunately, 2 children under 10 years old, were dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the rescuers took the other 5 survivors to a hospital for immediate treatment.

Furthermore, paramedics took the pickup driver via helicopter to a Phoenix hospital for minor injuries and is under investigation for possible impairment.

Lastly, authorities are still investigating the incident and will release additional details soon.
