REDDING, CA (July 19, 2020) – Thursday night, two people succumbed to death after a dump truck crash on China Gulch Drive.

According to reports, the crash occurred on June 16th at around 8:45 p.m. on China Gulch Drive, west of Canyon Road. A Ford F-550 dump truck traveled east on China Gulch Drive, southwest of Redding. As the vehicle entered a sharp ring-hand curve, the driver lost control and drove across the opposing lane. Afterward, the vehicle fell down an embankment on the north side of the road.

Meanwhile, the CHP revealed that the driver and passenger didn’t wear seat belts at the time of the crash. As a result, both of them were thrown off the vehicle.

The dump truck landed on its roof around 50 feet down a steep bank.

Moreover, the authorities found the driver and the passenger pinned under the vehicle. Both of them died at the scene.

Furthermore, during the collision, the dump truck also lost the metal fence T posts it was hauling.

The authorities confirmed that the driver and the passenger were both males. However, their identity hasn’t been released due to pending family notification.
