2 Hospitalized after San Diego Car Accident near Tierrasanta Boulevard

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 27, 2020) – Early Tuesday morning, two unidentified men were hospitalized after a car accident on Santa Road.
 
Officers first received a report around 2:20 a.m., of a man whose cellphone was stolen on Trait Street in the Linda Vista area. Then, the man allegedly struck a police vehicle and light pole while attempting to flee the police.
 
A sheriff’s helicopter located the suspect vehicle driving on eastbound Highway 52 into the Tierrasanta area. The driver then exited at Santo Road before crashing into a police cruiser near the off-ramp.
 
The driver of the suspect vehicle went on escaping southbound on Santa Road before colliding with another vehicle and a light post near Tierrasanta Boulevard.
 
The two male occupants inside the car went to the hospital for further treatment. However, the extent of their injuries remains unreleased as of this time. The officer occupying the patrol vehicle remained uninjured.
