2 Dead in Huntington Beach Auto Accident on Bolsa Avenue and Graham Street

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (September 9, 2024) – Sunday morning, 2 people died in a brutal cargo van crash on Bolsa Avenue and Graham Street.

The crash involving a vehicle and a cargo van happened at around 10:00 a.m. on Bolsa Avenue and Graham Street.

Investigators reported that a gray Freightliner cargo van was heading east on Bolsa when it entered the intersection at Graham with a green light. At the same time, it crashed with a tan Toyota Sienna traveling south through the intersection.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the Sienna’s driver ran a red light. The driver, a 61-year-old man from Garden Grove, and his adult female passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene. Further identifying information was not immediately released, and it’s unclear if impairment was a factor.

The 39-year-old driver of the Freightliner, from Fountain Valley, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a nearby hospital.
