Deadly Montclair Pedestrian Accident on Orchard Street and Ramona Avenue

 
MONTCLAIR, CA (December 19, 2021) – Friday night, two people died in a pedestrian crash on Orchard Street and Ramona Avenue.
 
The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. when a speeding BMW headed east on Orchard Street and Ramona Avenue. Then, the driver failed to yield at the stop sign and fatally hit a 61-year-old pedestrian.
 
Then, the 43-year-old driver continued down Orchard Street before veering north onto Monte Vista Avenue.
 
The vehicle continued speeding and drove the wrong way until it crashed into a vehicle that stopped at a red light. This crash happened south of the intersection of Monte Vista Avenue and San Bernardino Street. Then, the vehicle went north in the wrong lanes before colliding with another vehicle head-on.
 
As a result, the BMW driver died in the head-on crash. Also, two occupants in the other vehicle suffered injuries.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed any names.
 
Moreover, they haven’t clarified whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
