2 Dead in Sacramento Car Crash on Jackson Highway

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 27, 2019) – Two people succumbed to death after a car crash on Jackson Highway on September 26.
 
The crash between a semi-truck and a sedan occurred on Jackson Highway near Dillard Road.
 
CHP East Sacramento reported that at around 11:00 a.m., a westbound Honda CR-V drove over into the eastbound lanes of the highway and crashed head-on with a flatbed truck.
 
The incident killed both the Honda occupants. Meanwhile, the truck driver didn’t suffer any injury.
 
According to Caltrans, eastbound lanes remained open but motorists should expect road closures in the westbound lanes for around two hours.
 
The cause of the collision remains unknown.
