Two Fatally Hurt after Rio Vista Car Accident on Highway 12

 
RIO VISTA, CA (September 20, 2019) – Two people died following a car accident on Highway 12 at about 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, an 80-year-old Rio Vista man and a 79-year-old Suisun City woman traveled west on Highway 12 in a Toyota Prius. Then it collided into the raised concrete portion of the roundabout at the intersection of Highway 113.
 
Both succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
 
CHP investigators said they don’t know yet if alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
 
The identities of the deceased are being withheld by authorities pending notification of their loved ones.
