2 Dead in Kansas City Auto Accident on Carondelet Drive and Wornall Road

KANSAS CITY, MO (January 1, 2025) – Monday morning, 2 people died in a brutal 2-vehicle crash on Carondelet Drive and Wornall Road.

The crash happened at around 10:25 a.m. on Carondelet Drive and Wornall Road.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a black Chrysler 300 and a silver Dodge Charger were street racing southbound from 99th Street, according to police.

During the race, a silver Honda HRV attempted a left turn onto Carondolet from Wornall. The Chrysler collided with the HRV mid-turn.

Both the driver and passenger of the HRV succumbed to their injuries. The Chrysler’s driver was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

Police stated that the investigation into the crash is ongoing, including determining potential charges.
