Two People Die, Two Critical after Solo Vehicle Crash on Interstate 15 at Mannix Wash Bridge in Newberry Spring

Newberry Spring, CA (April 8, 2022) – Friday morning, two people died and two others sustained critical injuries in a solo vehicle crash on Interstate 15.

The fatal crash in Newberry Spring happened at around 11:11 a.m. on April 8 approximately 5 miles before Alvord Mountain Road. 

CHP said the vehicle veered into the center divider, rolled over multiple times, before leaving the freeway, and crashed underneath the freeway bridge.

There were four people trapped and Good Samaritans rendered aid before the vehicle caught fire.

As a result, two people died at the crash scene and two critical patients were airlifted.

No other information is immediately available.
