Minor Car Thief Suspect Arrested on South Othello Street

 
Seattle, WA (September 13, 2020) – On Friday, two people lost their lives, while one got injured in a vehicle crash on South Othello Street.
 
Seattle police said it was before 3 a.m. when officers in the 4300 block area saw an SUV pass them heading west.
 
They found out that it was a stolen SUV when it turned north on Martin Luther King Jr. and ran at a fast speed.
 
The vehicle ran a red light and crashed with a Toyota Camry turning east onto Holly Street. Trailing officers witnessed the crash and rushed to help those in the Camry.
 
Immediately, medics responded to the scene. They pronounced one of the female passengers in the Camry dead.
 
They also rushed the man driving the Camry to Harborview Medical Center, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Also, another woman who was in the Camry was taken to Harborview with “substantial injuries”, police said.
 
Meanwhile, the 18-year-old SUV driver suffered minor injuries. Authorities arrested and held him for investigation of two counts of vehicular homicide and possession of a stolen vehicle.
