EL PASO, TX (April 13, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, a crippling vehicle crash on Interstate 10 West near Chelsea injured 2 people.

The incident happened at around 4:00 p.m. on Interstate 10 in Central El Paso.

A spokesperson for the Fire Department said one individual was airlifted from the scene, while another was taken by ambulance with minor injuries. The crash involved two vehicles and led to a lengthy closure of Interstate 10 West near Chelsea.

According to TxDOT, I-10 West was shut down for approximately six hours before reopening around 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.
