Man Hospitalized after Auto Crash near Oaks Hill Drive in Prunedale

 
Prunedale, CA (April 9, 2020)– Thursday morning, two unidentified people sustained injuries in a truck collision on Highway 156.
 
First responders received dispatch calls around 9:15 a.m., on April 9 between Prunedale and Castroville.
 
The collision involved an armored truck and a large-engine flatbed truck. Both vehicles were heading west near Oak Hills Drive when the flatbed veered right and struck the armored truck.
 
Due to the impact of the collision, both drivers sustained injuries. Officers did not disclose the identities of those involved. However, the armored truck driver was described as a San Jose man.
 
He was later taken to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas for further treatment of serious injuries. There has been no update on his current condition.
 
Furthermore, there has been no description regarding the current condition of the flatbed truck driver. An investigation for further details remains ongoing.
