Oakley Two-Vehicle Collision Sends 2 People to Hospital

 
OAKLEY, CA (May 7, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision at Main Street and Live Oak Avenue Sunday night. According to Battalion Chief Jeff Burris of the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District, the accident was reported on the old Highway 4 about a half-mile east of the Highway 160 interchange at around 7:00 p.m.
 
The crash caused one person to be ejected from the vehicle and sustained major injuries. A helicopter took them to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. An ambulance took the other injured person to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
No further details were available aside from the serious damage sustained by both vehicles. The Oakley Police Department is the one investigating the accident.
