2 Hurt in Grandview Auto Accident on Euclid Road

 
GRANDVIEW, WA (October 22, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, authorities arrested Salvador Zaragoza after an injury crash on Euclid Road.
 
Authorities received a report of a crash on October 17th at around 12:20 p.m. According to the police, a black Lexus headed north on Euclid Road. However, the vehicle failed to yield at a red light and struck an eastbound pickup truck on W. 2nd Street.
 
When the responders arrived, they found a car on the northeast corner of the intersection. They also found a pickup with a damaged bed at the scene.
 
Police believe that the car drove at least 45 mph in a 25 mph speed zone.
 
Officers aided a 9-year-old with a large bump to her forehead. The girl also suffered a road rash on her upper torso and back. Meanwhile, the officials found a man lying beside the girl.
 
The authorities said that the man suffered a broken knee. Furthermore, the young girl sustained pulmonary contusions and was bleeding into her stomach.
 
As a result, responders airlifted both victims to Astria Sunnyside Hospital.
 
According to a police interview, 19-year-old Salvador Zaragoza Romero didn’t admit using marijuana. However, his passenger confirmed that he smoked 35-45 minutes before driving to Grandview.
 
Thus, GPD arrested Zaragoza and is charged with three counts of Vehicular Assault.
