Pregnant Woman Involved in Collision near Campbell Creek

 
CHICO, CA (March 25, 2019) – Two people were injured in a multi-car crash on northbound Highway 99, Monday noon.
 
The collision took place at approximately 12:27 PM, near the bridge to Campbell Creek. Dispatchers arrived to the scene soon after.
 
Based on an initial report, there were three vehicles involved in the incident. The vehicles were identified as a blue Nissan, a red Ford Explorer, and a Dodge pickup truck.
 
Paramedics reported to the scene due to needed medical attention. Two occupants, an infant and a pregnant woman, suffered minor injuries as a result of the impact. The current condition of the victims has not been updated.
 
Furthermore, authorities revealed that the Dodge’s right front tire was missing. Clearing and cleaning operations took place in the area for a brief time. Surrounding roadways were eventually reopened to traffic.
 
It is currently unclear what exactly started the pile-up. Additional information will be released once it becomes available, as the cause of the accident still remains under investigation at this time.
