Two Hospitalized after Motorcycle Crash in Carson City
CARSON CITY, NV (June 26, 2019) – On Wednesday afternoon, two people sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident on Highway 50.
According to the Carson City Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened just before 4:30 PM in the 3300 block of the highway near Airport Road. In addition, a vehicle and motorcycle collided. At the time of the accident, two people were riding on the bike.
The Carson City Fire Department arrived shortly after the accident. They stated the impact of the collision ejected the passenger from the motorcycle. Police transported the passenger and the driver of the bike to the trauma center at Renown Medical Center in Reno. Their current medical condition is unknown at this time.
The highway closed for a brief time while crews worked to clear the scene. However, the road reopened shortly after. The cause of the accident is currently unknown.
