2 Injured in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision on Faraday Avenue [Carlsbad, CA]

Carlsbad, CA (March 31, 2023) – On Thursday, a person died and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Faraday Avenue.

The traffic collision took place minutes before 7 a.m. near El Fuerte Street.

Investigating authorities stated that a Mazda driver lost control of the vehicle and swerved onto the opposite lane. As a result, the vehicle was struck by a Honda and a Toyota, and the Mazda was consumed in fire.

The Carlsbad Fire Department was able to put out the flames, but the Mazda driver died at the scene.

Moreover, the medical responders took two occupants in the other cars to hospitals with unknown injuries.
