Driver and Passenger Injured after DUI Crash on Highway 41 in Fresno County

Fresno County, CA (September 23, 2021) – Wednesday evening, a passenger and a driver sustained injuries after a solo vehicle DUI crash on Highway 41.

The fiery crash happened at around 10:30 pm on September 22, south of American Avenue.

The CHP said the driver was southbound on the highway when they lost control of the car, drifted onto the center divider, and overturned.

Moreover, the vehicle soon caught fire, the passenger inside pulled the driver out of the car.

Investigators said they smelled alcohol on the driver’s breath.

EMS took the two patients to a Fresno hospital for treatment.

Currently, the driver was arrested and will be facing DUI charges.
