MODESTO, CA (April 30, 2025) – Monday night, a crippling 3-vehicle crash on Highway 99 and Kansas Avenue injured 2.

The incident involving three vehicles happened at around 6:10 p.m. on southbound Highway 99, south of Kansas Avenue onramp.

According to the Modesto Fire Department, three vehicles sustained significant damage and one individual became trapped. Firefighters extricated the occupant from the vehicle.

Two individuals were transported by ambulance to a local hospital, while a third person declined medical attention.

Fire personnel, with assistance from Modesto police, closed the highway and diverted traffic onto nearby surface streets.
