Police Investigate 2-Vehicle Crash on Avila Beach Drive

Avila Beach, CA (January 2, 2025) – Two people sustained minor injuries in a New Year’s Day crash on Avila Beach Drive.

The collision occurred around 2 p.m. on Avila Beach Drive near Port San Luis. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a Mercedes hatchback and a Mini Cooper. 

The Mercedes veered off the road and landed on the rocks 20 to 30 feet below the roadway.

CHP confirmed that alcohol did not contribute to the accident.
