Injuries Reported in Oak Hills Auto Accident on Southbound 15 Freeway

 
OAK HILLS, CA (January 10, 2022) – Sunday night, two people suffered injuries in a fiery crash on southbound 15 Freeway.
 
The authorities received a report at 10:11 p.m. on the southbound 15 freeway just south of the truck escape ramp.
 
According to reports, a Dodge Challenger crashed into the back of a parked semi-truck. Then, the trailer quickly caught fire and both vehicles erupted into flames.
 
Meanwhile, the semi-driver managed to detach his trailer from the cab and exit safely with no injuries.
 
Moreover, a female sedan occupant suffered a broken leg and bleeding from her forehead. Also, a second person in the sedan sustained minor injuries.
 
The incident led to the closure of the southbound 15 Freeway to let a helicopter land and transport the critically injured patient.
 
By 11:00 p.m., all lanes reopened. Meanwhile, the San Bernardino County Fire Department stayed for extensive overhaul and extended cleanup.
 
Due to the limited information available, the CHP continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
