When you are behind the wheel of a vehicle, it is your responsibility to follow all driving laws. Auto accidents similar to that can be avoided if drivers are focused. Therefore, always drive responsibly.

However, if you find yourself unable to safely operate a vehicle, you can always use an Uber or a Lyft instead. Failure to follow all the traffic laws could lead to serious consequences for yourself and for others.

What to do after an Auto Accident

  • Before anything else, seek medical attention if you have been hurt.
  • Get to a safe place to prevent further damage or injury.
  • Collect as much information as possible: insurance and contact information of people involved in the accident, pictures/videos of vehicles involved, etc.
  • File a police report or incident report by calling 911.
  • Hire an experienced personal injury attorney from Sweet Lawyers.
  • The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of the injured party.
