Injuries Reported in Columbia Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 70 and Range Line
COLUMBIA, MO (January 30, 2025) – Wednesday night, a crippling 7-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 and Range Line Street injured 2 people.
The incident occurred on Interstate 70 and Range Line Street.
Columbia Police Sgt. Curtis Perkins reported that seven vehicles were involved in the crash, including at least two semi-trucks. Two people were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
According to CPD crash investigator Lori Simpson, three semi-trucks were traveling eastbound when traffic began to slow. One semi failed to reduce speed and rear-ended another, triggering a chain reaction. Two vehicles, including a semi, caught fire.
