Fresno County Hit-and-Run Crash Under Investigation

Fresno County, CA (December 6, 2024) – A 14-year-old male and a man in his 20s were injured following a big rig crash on North Avenue Wednesday night.

CHP officers responded at around 8:30 p.m. to the hit-and-run crash on Temperance Avenue.

Troopers said a pickup truck was westbound on North Avenue while a red big rig pulling a white van trailer on Temperance Avenue was driving toward the intersection which was controlled by a stop sign. 

According to the authorities, the semi-truck did not stop for the stop sign and struck the pickup truck that went underneath it. 

The big rig fled the scene right after the collision.

Immediately, the rescuers rushed the 14-year-old male and the man in his 20s to a hospital with moderate to minor injuries.
