PALM SPRINGS, CA (December 22, 2022) – Tuesday night, two officers sustained injuries following a crash near Murray Canyon Drive and South Toledo Avenue.
 
The incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. near Murray Canyon Drive and South Toledo Avenue.
 
According to reports, two officers attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic stop. Then, the vehicle refused to pull over and sped away with authorities in pursuit. Moments later, the vehicle pulled over.
 
However, as authorities approached the vehicle, the driver backed up at a high rate of speed. Then, the driver rammed the police vehicle and pinning two officers in between the vehicles. The vehicle then fled the scene after the collision.
 
Moreover, responders transported the two officers with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest the suspect.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under active investigation.
