Injuries Reported in Placerville Auto Accident on Mosquito Road
PLACERVILLE, CA (December 21, 2022) – Last December 8, two people suffered injuries in a rollover crash on Mosquito Road.
According to reports, the crash happened at around 9:30 a.m. when a 55-year-old Placerville woman traveled south on the north side of the Mosquito Bridge. According to the driver, her 2004 Honda Accord’s brakes failed. Thus, she veered into the mountainside to avoid crashing with other vehicles or falling off the cliff
However, the Accord struck the mountainside which caused the vehicle to turn over on its roof.
As a result, responders transported the driver and their juvenile passenger to Marshall Hospital with minor injuries.
At this time, additional details about the crash remained unavailable. Due to the limited information available, the CHP continues to investigate the incident.
Furthermore, the authorities set a one-way traffic control on Mosquito Road as construction of the new bridge to Mosquito is underway.
