2 Hurt in Vista Traffic Accident on Main Street and Vista Village Drive

 
VISTA, CA (August 30, 2022) – Sunday night, two people sustained injuries in a fiery crash on Main Street and Vista Village Drive.
 
According to Sgt. Eric Cottrell of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. Also, the collision occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Vista Village.
 
Reports revealed that an eastbound Scion collided with a Ford Mustang. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Scion off the roadway. Afterward, it struck a tree, and a concrete wall before it erupted into flames.
 
Moreover, two military members at the scene grabbed fire extinguishers from a nearby establishment and put out the vehicle fire. Also, responders rushed to the scene and extricated two occupants of the vehicle.
 
Furthermore, paramedics transported the driver to a hospital via helicopter with major injuries. Meanwhile, responders took a vehicle passenger to a hospital via ground ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
 
Also, the incident remained under active investigation.
