Injuries Reported in Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident near East Tropicana Avenue and Ocean Drive

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 30, 2022) – Tuesday night, two people suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash near East Tropicana Avenue and Ocean Drive.
 
The incident occurred at about 6:40 p.m. near East Tropicana Avenue and Ocean Drive. Moreover, the crash happened right in front of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino.
 
According to reports, a man darted across eastbound lanes on Tropicana Avenue outside a marked crosswalk. Meanwhile, a white Ford Expedition slowed to avoid hitting the man. However, a white Ford E150 following behind rear-ended the Expedition. As a result, the Expedition hit the pedestrian.
 
After the crash, responders took the pedestrian to University Medical Center for life-threatening injuries. Moreover, they transported the driver of the E150 to UMC for injuries.
 
Also, the authorities shut down eastbound traffic on Tropicana from Las Vegas Boulevard to Koval.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
