2 Hurt in Seattle Car Collision on 5 Freeway

 
SEATTLE, WA (July 5, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a car collision on 5 Freeway.
 
According to WSDOT, the collision on 5 Freeway blocked the road near 54th Avenue. In addition, the traffic maps show cars stalled all the way to Federal Way.
 
The incident began when Kent police received calls of an armed robbery at a Metro PCS. The suspect fled the scene with officers giving chase. However, the chase stopped when the suspect started driving recklessly.
 
The suspect then crashed and escaped. Police haven’t found him yet.
 
The officers tried to trap the suspect near an RV parking lot but couldn’t find him even with K-9 units. They last saw the suspect wearing a red sweatshirt and black shorts.
 
Meanwhile, responders transported two people to the hospital after the two-car collision on 5 Freeway.
 
Authorities advised motorists to stay away from the area.
