2 Hurt in San Diego Motorcycle Collision

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 10, 2020) – Two people sustained injuries in a car and motorcycle collision near University Avenue on February 7.
 
The incident happened around 3:25 p.m., near the intersection of University Avenue and Seventh Avenue. California Highway Patrol arrived to the area shortly after near Highway 163.
 
According to reports, a 55-year-old man drove a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, while a 45-year-old man drove a 1970 Norton motorcycle eastbound on University Avenue.
 
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old man driving a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta turned left from University Avenue onto Seventh Avenue, in front of the motorcycles.
 
As a result, the vehicle struck the bikes and ejected both motorcyclists. One rider suffered several fractures and other serious injuries, but none were life-threatening.
 
Meanwhile, the second rider felt some pain but remained uninjured.
 
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is currently investigating the collision. Authorities already ruled out drugs and alcohol as potential factors in the crash.
 
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Be wary when changing lanes, and be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. Pay attention and consider small vehicles because these are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
