Two-Vehicle Accident in Costa Mesa Ends in Injuries

COSTA MESA, CA (July 1, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in Friday’s two-vehicle accident at Newport Boulevard and West Bay Street.

According to news reports, the 9:43 a.m. crash involved a pickup truck and a sedan. Due to the severity of the crash, paramedics transported one driver to a trauma center while another person, who officers say suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was taken, as well. However, it is unclear whether the second person injured was the driver in the second car.

Costa Mesa police officers arrived to investigate the traffic accident. At this point, it’s unclear what caused the crash or the events leading to it.

Authorities are continuing their investigation.
