2 Injured in Parkland Car Accident

PARKLAND, WA (January 3, 2019) – A man and a woman were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries on December 29 after the man T-boned the woman’s car.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the 34-year-old woman is a domestic violence victim and had recently taken out a restraining order against the 37-year-old man.

Officials arrived at the scene at 9:40 a.m. after receiving a report of a two-car crash where one car collided into the side of an apartment building on 112th Street and A Street.

When deputies came, the woman was pinned inside a Honda, and the man was stuck inside a Volkswagen that had rolled over. The two were transported to the hospital.

The Sherriff’s officials revealed that on Sunday morning, the man saw the woman in her car while driving in Parkland. The man then T-boned the woman’s car going at least 50 mph, crushing the side of the car.

Upon release from the hospital, the man was booked into the Pierce County Jail for investigation of domestic violence assault, violations of no contact orders, reckless endangerment and driving with a suspended license, Det. Ed Troyer with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office revealed.
