1 Seriously Injured in Reno Car Crash
RENO, NV (August 30, 2019) – A person sustained life-threatening injuries in a head-on crash on Fourth Street on August 28.
The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of East Fourth Street, west of Ferrari Street. Responders extricated occupants out of both vehicles and took them to the hospital with serious injuries.
By 9:15 p.m., the closed road reopened.
According to police, an eastbound white pick up truck on East Fourth Street drove across the center line and struck a westbound car head-on.
The female occupant sustained life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the male truck driver also sustained injuries and went to the hospital.
Authorities ruled out speed and impairment as a factor in the collision.
The police are still investigating the crash and they urge anyone with information to contact traffic detectives at 775-334-2141.
